I was a reader long before I started to write, and never considered putting pen to paper – or fingers to keyboard – until I found myself with a lot of time on my hands due to illness. Writing and publishing gave me a new purpose and a real sense of achievement.
I now find myself working in three or four different genres, and loving every minute. (Although there may be times during the editing process, when my general demeanour might lead a neutral observer to question whether I love it all the time.)
For my previous books, I’ve published under a different pen name, but I’ve chosen Alex J Markson for most of my writing going forward.
